General Information

The Annual Saint Marks College Scholarship was established in 1990 and provides financial assistance to one college student each year.  The Scholarship was established in conjunction with the Annual Saint Marks Golf Tournament, the major benefactor of the scholarship fund.   A portion of the golf tournament proceeds has been deposited each year into the scholarship fund and only the interest earned on the scholarship fund principal is awarded as scholarships.

Applicants must meet both of the following minimum requirements in order to be eligible for the scholarship:
(1)  Applicants must be a member of Saint Marks United Methodist Church or their parent, guardian, of grandparents must be members. 
(2)  Applicants must be accepted for enrollment in an accredited College or University for the fall term. 

Applications will be accepted during the month of August and the scholarship will be awarded in early September each year.

Memorial Scholarships

With a donation of $10,000 or more to the scholarship fund, individuals or families may establish a new memorial scholarship to honor a family member or individual.  For example, the family of John Q. Doe, to honor his or her memory, could establish the John Q. Doe Memorial Scholarship.
